Flight Instructor Rating for Instrument Ratings (FI-IR/IRI)
Training towards a Flight Instructor Rating that allows you to provide training towards an Instrument Rating (IR, CB-IR, BIR)
Pre-Entry Requirements
- for FI-IR: Flight Instructor Rating and 200 hours of IFR flying experience
- for IRI: 800 hours of IFR flying experience (of which a minimum of 400 hours had to be flown in airplanes) and completed Teaching and Learning module (this training module can be provided by Roxta Air upon request)
Theoretical Knowledge Training
- 10 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction with briefings of all relevant subjects
- If required: 25 hours for the completion of the Teaching and Learning module
- Instruction of theoretical knowledge can be provided on site or via online meeting
Practical Training
- FI-IR: 5 hours of flight training
- IRI: 10 hours of flight training
- Practical training can be performed on your own aircraft (prerequisites to use the aircraft in an ATO have to be met)
- Completion of training by examination flight

Typical duration of the training approx. 4-5 days (including 2 days of theoretical knowledge training)
