Course for (re-)obtaining the class rating for Single Engine Piston Aircraft SEP(Land), also renewal of your rating after expiry for PPL-/CPL-/ATPL-holders)

Voraussetzungen

General

The training required to obtain the class rating for SEP(land) single engine piston aeroplanes depends on the time elapsed since the expiry of the class rating.

Class rating expired less than 3 years ago
  • In a flight with one of our flight instructors, the required training is determined.
  • Conducting the training (if necessary)
  • Issuance of the training certificate by the ATO
  • Practical skill test with a CRE(A) SEP or FE(A)
Class rating expired more than 3 years ago

Refreshing the theoretical knowledge alongside the practical training sessions

Practical training:

minimum 3 hours, including:

  • 10 take-offs and landings with an instructor on board
  • 10 Take-offs and landings solo

To be followed by a practical Skill Test with a CRE(A) SEP or FE(A).

Validity & Renewal
  • Validity: 2 years
  • Renewal:
    • 12 hours of SEP (including 6 hours as PIC) with 12 landings including one flight with an instructor within the 12 months preceding the expiry of the rating, or
    • Skill Test with a CRE(A) SEP or FE(A
